Custom Molded Plastic Parts

What is custom molding?

Our custom molding service involves the design and production of plastic products exactly to your specifications and requirements.

We can manufacture custom packaging, flexible polyethylene bellows, technical molds, parts, assemblies, bottles, jars, bellows, boxes, caps, stoppers, gauges, spatulas, spoons, ladles, tubing, fasteners, and more.

Types of custom molding we offer.

Blow molding - Plastic blow molding is a manufacturing process used to form hollow plastic parts, such as bottles and containers. At Measom Freer, we use extrusion blow molding; tubes of thermoplastic material (called blanks) are forced through an extruder and captured by a water-cooled die. After the die is closed, the form blank is cut and the die is moved to the blow molding table, where air is then blown into the top or neck of the container, pushing the plastic out to meet the cavity inside the die. As the thermoplastic material expands and touches the mold walls, the material cools rapidly and the container retains its rigid shape. One of the main advantages of blow molding is that it can be used to create complex shapes - something of great value for things like product branding and logos We can produce volumes of up to 2 liters using this process, which is ideal for plastic bottles, containers and unusual items such as plastic bellows. We can use most thermoplastics for blow molding, including PVC, HDPE, rHDPE, LDPE, PETG, rPETG, bioplastics, rPP and PP, in capacities up to 2 liters.

Injection molding - Plastic injection molding is the process of melting plastic pellets (thermoplastic polymers). Once melted, the plastic pellets are injected under pressure into the mold cavity, filled and cured to produce solid parts such as caps, measuring spoons, assemblies and components. This process can be used for most recyclable thermoplastic materials, and we can mold up to approximately 350 grams of injection weight. Injection molding is capable of producing large quantities of quality parts at high speeds and with high precision.

How we work

Our design department and in-house tool room are equipped with the latest CAD/CAM facilities for component design, 3D visualization and modeling. We can produce prototypes of your desired design for you to evaluate before full production - so you can be sure that the final product will look exactly the way you want it to and function as required.
